Ruth with her new purse

This shirt says "Here Comes Trouble" with a bunny. How funny is it with a wolf inside!!

Now you're done

Ta Da! Now you are done, and you can impress your friends and loved one's with your creative recyclable prowess~

Finishing touches

With your shirt inside out, sew on top of the seam you made so that you cannot see it once the shirt is right side out. Make a diagonal line on the bottom of each side, sew it up and cut off the extra fabric.

Start to sew your new purse

On the outside on the shirt, pin the bottom and sew a new seam.

Tee shirt re-do part 2

Using a plate, trace and cut out a semi circle from the neckline.
Cut out the sleeves before the seams so you do not have to do any extra sewing.

T-shirt bag

I am getting into this "re-fashioning" kick. I started easy with some tee shirts the kids didn't want, grew out of etc and made them into purses the kids could use to hold their items.

Here is how to start if you want to make one of your own.
Take a tee shirt, kids, adult, any shirt will do.
