From Ruth and Mary

Hat shopping at the mall

Mary choose a soft white hat with front and ear flaps.


Ruth was diagnosed with an ear infection last weekend.
Mary has viral conjunctivitis (pink eye).
So we went hat shopping today.

Crash course in teaching 4th grade and a playdate

I taught fourth grade today!
I think I did well, but it was a trip.
We also took a friend of Mary's home with us for a play date and made cookies.

I am substitute teaching at the girls school, Cookie Mom for the Girl Scout troop, and a new Usborne book rep.
I am very tired.

A day off from school

There is no school tomorrow.

To include cleaning out the garage, laundry, dust the furniture with Pledge, clean out the upstairs hallway and take donations to Goodwill.

Then off to have lunch at the park

If I remember to bring the camera I'll get some pictures.

Why?

When you could find "Jungle in my Pocket" sets and animals Ruth was not interested.
Now that they are nowhere to be found they are her new favorites.

I got stamps yesterday, and picked up Mary's birthday photos the day before.
My goal is the get the envelopes in the mail today!

We were running behind this morning because Mary could not find her shoes.
She found them this evening.
They were left at the neighbors house across the street.
Yes, that means she crossed the street with no shoes on and thought nothing of it.
That in a nut shell is Mary!

Ruth's note to the tooth fairy

"Dear Tooth Fairy, I would like two Littlest Pet Shops for loosing two teeth. Ruth"
She got a Littlest Pet Shop animal to send away for the Special Edition Platypus and a Jungle In My Pocket Tiger Set since she really another tooth last week and I still owed her for that one.

Ruth lost one tooth last week (it was never recovered), and both Ruth and Mary lost a tooth last night.

Here is our guinea pig eating dinner in a high chair. This nursery was a gift for Mary's birthday from Grandma Sandy and Grandpa Paul, and gets lots of use with baby dolls and the pig.
