Tuesday photo's

It is the end of month rush, problems, etc here, so sorry I have not posted much lately.
The girls are well. They are rocking in school, behavior is less than ideal since they have been picking up on my stress, but no one said life would be perfect.
Anyway, while I was washing the dinner dishes the kids helped clean up the house, and then we were able to make some cookies.
Here they are waiting for the cookies to be done.

In case you were wondering what we did this weekend

We loaded up two 30 yard dumpsters with trash. We also did some cleaning and painting. It was fun, and the kids were a HUGE help, they dump trash and paint really well.

Ruth has been working her way through "Little House in the Big Woods" and we finally finished today. Take a look!

Grandma came to visit, and man did we have fun

Friday's Daily Dash

Cricket

These pictures were taken by Ruth.

Walgreens

Walgreen's carries these little animals at their stores, and if you buy two, they are $12.99 total.
We went to Walgreen's last week to interview a handyman, and couldn't resist stopping in to see which animals they had.
Mary's cat is "Cricket", and the Husky dog is "Sledder".

Cinderella

Mary and I have been working on a unit using the books "Cinderella" and we finished up today.
Here's how it looked.

Bunny

Mary saved for two weeks to get this Littlest Pet Shop animal. It comes with stickers and glitter, and you get to decorate it any way you like. She is still working on it, but here is what we've got so far.

What we are up to this week

This is the week of Spring Break for some kids, so we are springing for a break too.
Our sweet neighbor Seth is here visiting his Dad, and I cannot remember a time the kids were home and I saw so very little of them.
So Happy Spring everyone, and when I can find my children again, I will post some new pictures of them.

The last one is my new favorite, and is my new ring tone on the cell phone. It is a version without the "s" word in it, so it is kid friendly.

Sunday afternoons

On the off chance that is has been some time and you have forgotten.
This is what a wet dog looks like.
And this is how 6 year old girls spend their Sunday afternoons.

Mary's picture

Here is Mary and the picture she drew.

Ruth's new trick

This is what Ruth does now while watching her one movie a day.
This is a drawing from ""Legion of Super Heroes". I think it's one of the bad guys.

And the after

I rarely get anything for myself, and this curtain was $4, but I loved it, so I got it.
The only problem with small curtains like this is that there is a lack of privacy, but the light is nice, and the curtains are really super cute.

Before

These are some sheer curtain panels I have had up for quite some time.
They hung on the ground, and the dog kept sitting on them, and eventually he broke the curtain rod.

And for Ruth

Ruth loves dogs, so this one was a perfect choice for her. It was $8 also, what a deal!
Now I just need to find a perfect hiding spot.

I realize I am crazy

Weeks ago some friends and I were talking about doing your Christmas shopping early.
It seems like I always get caught up in the last minute, can't find what I really want, and spend too much in the process.
So this year I vowed to change.
The picture above is Mary's Christmas gift. She loved bears (this is a panda) and playing on the computer, so this is a perfect gift for her.
Here is the best part.
They don't make these guys anymore. I found one at Walmart yesterday, and was willing to pay the full $21 price.
I didn't have to. It was not marked on the shelf, but it was on clearance for $8!!
It was so great, and totally made my day.

Daily Photo, Friday morning

This picture was taken at Costco yesterday afternoon. The significance is that we made it through the store in less than an hour!!

I'm going to try and do better

The girls do so many funny, crazy, wacky things during the day.
I am going to try and get those moments on camera more, and post something here every day. We'll see how I do.

Mary and Ruth helped put away 8 loads of laundry yesterday, and also helped make all three of our beds.

My very silly Ruth

This is what I walked in on last night while the kids were suppose to be getting ready for bed.
It explains the giggling!

I can't believe I am saying this

We are having a damp drippy day, and I am loving it. It's been a mild winter, and I am not ready for the summer yet.
So we are hanging out and enjoying this brief break from the nice weather.
I think I might need my head examined!

A Gorgeous Ruth

Ruth also got to go to Kohl's, and after trying on a too "loud" red outfit, here is the one she settled on.

A beautiful Mary

Mary got to go to Kohl's this weekend, and had a wonderful time trying on all their clothes.
Here is what she picked.

When Grandma comes to visit

Mary did school with Grandma Chris today, and here they are.
Mary read a book about Alice Ramsey, the first woman to drive across the United States.
Here is the link to a video Grandpa Drew found, check it out.

Our Mary in pictures

My new clothes

I was gifted with a Target gift card last week, and I finally made it to the store to buy myself new clothes.
What do you think?
